Male Aesthetic Surgery
Statistics from the American Society of Aesthetic Surgery in 2014 showed a 43% growth in aesthetic procedures among men. Men had more than 1 million cosmetic procedures performed, which is 10% of the total. The number of cosmetic procedures of men has increased over 273% since 1997.The top five surgical procedures for men were: Liposuction, Nose Surgery, Eyelid Surgery, Male Breast Reduction and Facelift.
But what has seen enormous growth in the past 15 years is the rise in nonsurgical treatments, both for men and women. Men in particular gravitate to injectable and laser treatments because of the benefits obtained with little to no downtime and the natural yet dramatic benefits. Men have begun to embrace skin care maintenance and are more willing to use certain products.
